We are pleased to announce the promotion of two of our team to new management positions. At Griffin & Furman we strive to promote from within as a commitment to our staff, and in recent weeks we promoted Angela Warden to Manager of Credit Union Compliance and Leslie Gainey to Manager of Tax and Accounting.

Angela Warden, Manager of Credit Union Compliance

Angela began her career in the credit union industry in 2015 and quickly learned her way through the operational positions into Operational and Branch Management. Leaving the credit union with a move to another state, we were happy to have Angela join us working remotely on our Auditing Staff. Angela then served as our Senior Attest and Credit Union Compliance Specialist.  Now as Manager of Credit Union Compliance, Angela oversees our credit union compliance engagements.

“Angela has done a great job strengthening the services we offer to credit unions, and she will be key to growing those relationships moving forward.” – Racheal Alvey, Director of Credit Union and State Retirement Services

Leslie Gainey, Manager of Tax and Accounting

Leslie began her career in accounting in 1988 and worked in various industries over the years.  This deep familiarity working in many industries gives her a uniquely diverse background which is a complement to her experiences and insight. In 2016, Leslie joined us on our Tax and Accounting Staff, and we are excited to have her expertise in her new position as Manager of Tax and Accounting.

“Leslie is invaluable on our tax and accounting team, and she will be a strong manager to guide the team to greater success.”  – Jessica Benjamin, Director of Tax and Accounting

Congratulations

With these promotions, we hope to recognize Angela and Leslie for their leadership and contributions to our firm, to our teams, and to our clients. Please join us in congratulating them both.
