Thanks to their individual initiative, two of our team members have recently received promotions within Griffin & Furman.   We strive to recognize leadership in our team members, and because of their enterprising spirits, we have recently promoted Linda Alford to Tax and Accounting Supervisor and Blake Scott to Audit Senior.

Linda Alford, Tax and Accounting Supervisor

Linda began her career as the broker/owner of her real estate agency specializing in commercial and HOA property management. After 14 years managing her agency, she served as CEO/Manager of a Mississippi credit union and spent over a decade overseeing the financial institution and the needs of its members.

We were happy to have Linda join us in May 2022 on our Tax and Accounting team.  She has quickly demonstrated her leadership skills by embracing the supervision of our West Monroe office and staff.

“Linda is a strong leader for our West Monroe staff.  She’s committed to our relationships in the community and is an enthusiastic supporter of our firm and our team.”  – Jessica Benjamin, Director of Tax and Accounting

Blake C Scott Tax and Accounting

Blake Scott, Audit Senior

Blake joined our auditing team in January 2021 as a Staff Auditor and has grown his experience in governmental, financial institutions, for-profit industries, and not-for-profit industries.

Blake’s enthusiasm in welcoming new opportunities and taking the lead on engagements has stood out.  We are appreciative of his competence, hard work, and initiative and look forward to his continued growth with our firm.

“Blake has been a tremendous asset to our audit team and we look forward to his skilled contributions to our work and our clients going forward.”  – Rob Furman, CPA, Partner

Congratulations!

These promotions recognize Linda’s and Blake’s leadership within our firm, to our teams, and to our clients. Please join us in congratulating them both.
